Our client is a global aerospace & defense manufacturerer seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to lead and manage new product development initiatives within the aerospace and defense sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management, coupled with a deep understanding of aerospace and defense industries and new product development processes. This role requires excellent leadership, strategic planning, and communication skills to ensure the successful delivery of complex projects.

The Opportunity

- Lead and manage multiple new product development programs from concept through to production within the aerospace and defense sectors.

- Develop and maintain program schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, supply chain, and marketing, to achieve program objectives.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for all program-related communications with internal stakeholders, customers, and suppliers.

- Identify and mitigate risks throughout the program lifecycle to ensure successful project delivery.

- Monitor program performance and implement corrective actions as needed to address any deviations from plan.

- Prepare and present regular program status reports to senior management and customers.

- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements throughout the program lifecycle.

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing best practices in program management and new product development.

What we are seeking:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in program management within the aerospace and defense industry.

- Proven track record of successfully managing new product development programs from concept to production.

- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and coordinate cross-functional teams.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders.

- Proficiency in program management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project or equivalent.

- PMP or other relevant certification is highly desirable.
