The Position:
The Quality Inspector ensures product conformity by employing sound inspection techniques and utilizes inspection equipment to perform layout inspection of machined parts to customer-supplied blueprints. Responsibilities include:
- Use of surface plate, height gage, and hand tools to perform in-process inspection of manufactured parts and assemblies at various stages of operations
- Perform incoming inspection of parts from vendors
- Support efforts to maintain ISO:9001 compliance
- Assist management, machinists, and vendors with quality concerns.
About You:
- You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in layout and manual inspection methods. Experience in a Job Shop/ Tooling environment a plus.
- You demonstrate a strong understanding of quality inspection techniques and requirements
- You have a thorough understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and are competent in the operation of standard inspection equipment
- Basic shop math and or trigonometry skills are desired
- CMM experience with PCDMIS is a plus
- You can communicate effectively verbally and in writing and are comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
- Above all, you are a responsible, reliable employee who has a solid work ethic and drive to be an asset to the company
