We are seeking to place a highly experienced and dedicated Director of Safety and Security to join their team and lead their safety and security initiatives.
The Safety and Security Director will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive safety and security programs. This role requires a strategic thinker with extensive knowledge of safety protocols, risk management, and emergency response procedures. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership in safety and security and thrive within a dynamic, growing Faith-Based organization.
This is a direct hire position with our client.
Pay:75K Based upon experience

Key Responsibilities of the Safety and Security Director:

• Program Development & Implementation:
• Develop, implement, and maintain safety and security policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and security threats.
• Team Leadership:
• Lead and manage the safety and security team, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
• Foster a culture of safety awareness and proactive risk management throughout the organization.
• Compliance & Reporting:
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards.
• Prepare and present reports on safety and security metrics, incidents, and corrective actions to senior management.
• Emergency Response:
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans and coordinate drills and training exercises.
• Act as the primary point of contact during emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement, emergency responders, and internal teams.
• Security Systems Management:
• Oversee the installation, maintenance, and operation of security systems, including surveillance cameras, access control, and alarm systems.
• Monitor security technologies and recommend updates or enhancements as needed.
• Collaboration & Communication:
• Work closely with other departments to integrate safety and security measures into all aspects of operations.
• Communicate safety and security policies and procedures to all employees and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Criminal Justice, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in safety and security management, preferably in a complex environment.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk management, and emergency response protocols.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in security systems and technology.
• Must have and maintain the following Certificates and Licenses:
• Security License D
• Security License G
• Concealed Weapons Permit
• First Aid, CPR & AED
• OSHA 36 hrs certification
