Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical team. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and professional development.
Duties:
- Administer medications, including injections, as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, and report any changes to the healthcare team
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide direct patient care, including wound care, IV therapy, and tube feeding
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and medication administration
- Document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with procedures and treatments as needed
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a medical/surgical setting
- Experience working with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics and ophthalmology
- Knowledge of workers compensation laws and regulations
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic health record system is preferred
- Experience in dementia care is a plus
Skills:
- Strong clinical assessment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Proficiency in administering medications, including injections
- Knowledge of durable medical equipment (DME) usage and maintenance
