360Care is Hiring a Director of Financial Healthcare Reporting Near Louisville, KY

*long term care or healthcare experience preferred*

The Director of Accounting will have a significant role in developing internal controls, management reports and monthly financial statements as well as a strategic member of the organization. Director of Accounting will be a strategic thought-partner, a hands-on and participative manager to lead and develop an internal team to support the organization. The Director of Accounting will play a critical role in partnering with the leadership team in strategic decision making and operations.

Essential Job Functions:

· Oversees the general accounting function, which includes inter-company accounting, cash management/reconciliation, financial reporting, and balance sheet management.

· Exhibit an in-dept understanding of contractual allowances for medical claims and accounting for balance sheet reserve and income statement reporting.

· Preparing various financial statements of the organization according to the rules and regulations of the organization.

· Accountable for ensuring that policies and procedures (internal controls) are in place to provide reasonable assurance that the company assets are protected.

· Strategic partner with other departments within the organization, able to assist in problem resolution and process improvements not directly related to accounting.

· Taking part in the budgeting process.

· Reviewing financial data of the organization from time to time and ensuring that the activities are proceeding as per regulations.

· Ensuring that the financial activities of the organization take place as per schedule.

· Preparation of monthly financial statements

· Development of management reports

· Developing, implementing, and monitoring internal control procedures

· Operating on every financial aspect of the organization- from day- to- day affairs to the more important financial ventures.

· Interpreting and translating the numbers, Director of Accounting should have the ability and expertise to demonstrate what every number stands for.

· Fosters a collaborative teamwork environment, positively influences others to achieve results that are in the best interest of the organization.

· Works to ensure compliance of company, federal, and state guidelines are maintained at all times.

· Actively supports and complies with all components of the compliance program, including, but not limited to, completion of training and reporting of suspected violations of law and Company policy.

· To work remotely, it is expected you will have a reliable, nonpublic high-speed internet connection with sufficient bandwidth to participate in all work-related activities. Any interruptions in service should be immediately reported to your manager.

· Reacts positively to change and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

· Ability to effectively communicate in all internal and external relationships for all essential job functions.

· Above average skills in mathematics, financial matters, and accounting.

· Knowledge of GAAP and its applications.

· Excellent analysis and observation skills.

· Ability to train and develop staff.

· Ability to produce accurate financial statements.

· Adaptability to change.

· Customer driven focus, both internal and external.

· Ability to lift approximately (25) pounds unassisted using appropriate lifting techniques and/or devices.

· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen.

· The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle, reach or feel and manipulate objects or controls.

· The employee is frequently required to sit or stand for long periods of time and walk distances, as well as stoop, bend, kneel, crouch and walk up and down stairs on a frequent basis.

· Bachelor degree or above.

· 7-10 years of overall experience in progressive finance/accounting roles, ideally 5 years of broad financial and operations management experience.

· Experience in a multi-company environment

· A multi-tasker with the ability to wear many hats in a fast-paced environment.

· A successful track record in setting priorities; keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills which support and enable sound decision making.

· Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

· Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel and Word.

· Ability to create and develop standards and procedures.

· Ability to work independently in a time sensitive environment.

· Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive material.

· Decision making, problem solving, and analytical skills.

· Organizational and prioritizing skills.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

· Previous management experience.

· Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions.
