TECHNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEER

ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Technical Support Engineer is responsible for all customer inquiries including (but not limited to) technical support, case management guidance, product training and general problem solving across all 3D Systems product lines.
Though the vacancy is for an office-based position, some travel will be required from time to time, this may be Global and not just the US
WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Answer inbound emails and calls to ensure complete customer satisfaction
• Communicate progress, changes, and all issues to customers in a timely manner
• Fully understand the workings of the 3D Systems printing machines and associated products to a level suitable enough to support partners in carrying out their own repairs or identifying the need for escalation and on-site visits depending on the product.
• Own problems and provide solutions
• Assist other team members with workload as required
• To always adhere to internal procedures
• To work closely with the existing team

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Education and Training:

• Bachelor's Degree; 0 to 2 year’s related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

• Number of Years of Related Work Experience: 1-2 years handling technical support in a high volume customer facing environment
• Mechanical and Electrical Engineering background
• Practical knowledge of the use of standard test equipment, such as Multi-Meter, Manometer, Tachometer and Scale

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Excellent English language written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical and Fluid Systems
• Basic understanding of the concept of 3D printing
• Basic understanding of the concept of 3D modelling
• Strong computer skills
• Methodical approach to troubleshooting hardware/software issues
• Attention to detail
• Salesforce experience highly desirable
• The ability to work as part of the team, though capable of handling difficult situations alone if required.
