4 Corner Resources is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Controller to join a thriving wireless communications company in Vero Beach, FL. This is a direct hire opportunity, fully onsite, offering a pivotal role in overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Assistant Controller Responsibilities:

• Year-End Audit Coordination: Assist in coordinating the year-end audit, including the review of schedules prepared by staff for financial audit purposes.
• Audit Reporting: Develop audit reports to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Financial Statement Preparation: Draft financial statements for review by the Controller.
• Account Reconciliation: Conduct monthly reviews of G/L account reconciliations for completeness.
• Tax Compliance: Ensure company tax compliance reports are accurately processed and submitted.
• Sales and Use Tax Filings: Oversee sales and use tax filings for multiple entities across various states, with a focus on the Southeastern US.
• Tax Law Research: Utilize strong research and analytical skills to understand state tax laws, nexus rules, business registration, and reporting requirements.
• Journal Entry Review: Review journal entries prepared by staff, provide feedback, and approve entries within the accounting system.

Assistant Controller Requirements:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited university.
• Experience: 5-7 years of related accounting experience.
• Accounting Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting, with a strong understanding of GAAP principles and standards.
• Tax Regulations: Solid understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office products. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX is a plus.
• Certification: CPA certification is highly desirable.

Assistant Controller Additional Details:

• Compensation: $90,000-120,000 annually, based on experience.
