Position: Inside Sales and Business Development Associate

Location: Carlsbad, California (On Site)

Company Overview: Our Client is a leading Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) specializing in drug product development and manufacturing services.

Job Summary: Our client is seeking a proactive and results-driven Inside Sales and Business Development Associate to join our partner. This role will be responsible for driving sales growth and building strong relationships with clients in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and business development within the CDMO or related industry.

Salary: $95,000 - $110,000 plus commission

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Generation:
  • Identify and engage potential clients through proactive outreach, including cold calling, email campaigns, and social media engagement.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring a seamless and positive customer experience.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall revenue growth of the company.
  • Business Development:
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to expand our client base and market presence.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and stay informed about industry trends and competitive landscape.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including project management, technical operations, and quality assurance, to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status in the CRM system.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and business development activities for senior management review.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales or business development within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CDMO industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of drug product development and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and industry events.
