45 Solutions is Hiring an Electrical Estimator Near Monroe, NJ

We seek a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to join our client, a commercial Electrical company in Central NJ. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience working with estimating software and performing takeoffs within the commercial electrical industry. As a Junior Estimator, you will be crucial in supporting our estimating department by accurately analyzing project specifications, conducting material takeoffs, and assisting in bid preparation. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth within our client's dynamic and expanding organization. The right candidate must reside in New Jersey and have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize estimating software (e.g., Accubid, ConEst) to prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for electrical projects of varying sizes and complexities.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to identify project requirements and scope.
  • Perform detailed material takeoffs and quantify required materials for project bidding and procurement.
  • Collaborate with senior estimators and project managers to gather necessary information and clarify project details.
  • Research and source material and equipment prices from vendors and suppliers.
  • Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and related documentation.
  • Assist in developing comprehensive bid proposals and presentations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations relevant to electrical estimating.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical estimating, including proficiency with estimating software and performing material takeoffs.
  • Knowledge of commercial electrical systems, materials, and installation methods.
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting construction blueprints and drawings.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred but not required).
  • Valid driver's license.
