Marathon Petroleum Company LP has an opening for an Environmental Specialist at its refinery located in Salt Lake City, Utah. This position is located in the Health, Environmental & Safety (HES) organization and reports to the Environmental Supervisor. This position does include relocation. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead teams for compliance of air regulation programs. Review new regulations for potential impacts on the refinery. Develop and implement new environmental compliance programs in conformance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Manage and improve existing environmental compliance programs. Prepare required regulatory reports in area of responsibility. Provide compliance assistance to other departments within the refinery. Work as a member of an Area Team to support day-to-day operation of the refinery in compliance with applicable requirements and company policies. Participate on incident investigations and implement corrective actions as requested. Participate in Environmental audits and develop corrective actions as required. Perform other requirements as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in a Health, Environmental & Safety or Engineering related field Conceptual knowledge of environmental compliance and regulatory framework PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 3 years relevant environmental experience Ability to monitor compliance with environmental regulations Ability to develop business acumen and technical knowledge As an energy industry leader, our career opportunities fuel personal and professional growth.
