About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and support in strategic planning activities. They will play a crucial role in providing valuable insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes within the organization. 

What you’ll do:

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

  • Conduct comprehensive financial analyses to support strategic decision-making. 
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including variance analysis, to senior management. 
  • Familiarity and experience managing the Financial Statements. 
  • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights into financial trends. 
  • Develop and maintain financial models to assess business performance and forecast future financial outcomes. 

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to develop accurate forecasts. 
  • Monitor budget vs. actual performance and provide explanations for variances. 
  • Prepare rolling forecasts and analyze potential impacts on financial goals and objectives. 
  • Develop forecasting models to support long-term strategic planning. 

Strategic Planning:

  • Support strategic initiatives by providing financial insights and analysis. 
  • Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to assess potential risks and opportunities. 
  • Assist in the evaluation of investment opportunities and strategic capital allocation. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and optimize business performance. 

Financial Operations Support:

  • Partner with Accounting and other departments to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data. 
  • Assist in the development of financial policies, procedures, and controls. 
  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed. 

What you need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred. 
  • Experience in the Financial Services / Health Insurance industries preferred. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a focus on budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights effectively. 
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems, financial modeling software). 
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization. 
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements and delivering results.
