4M Building Solutions is Hiring a Staff Accountant Near St Louis, MO
The Staff Accountant will ensure complete and systematic accounting records of receipts and disbursements in the organization by performing complex clerical and bookkeeping tasks and applying accepted procedures in preparing and maintaining accounting records.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepares financial reports, journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Preparing journal entries.
- Assists in cash reconciliations.
- Reconciling and balancing general ledger accounts.
- Researching and correcting account discrepancies.
- Assisting with audit fieldwork for financial audits.
- Supporting month-end and year-end close.
- Proofs accounting reports for clerical accuracy.
- Allocates expenditures to correct accounts according to departmental procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Thorough understanding of accounting practices and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- College degree in Business or Accounting preferred.
- At least three years of increasingly responsible experience in accounting.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
