We are currently seeking a Digital Operator I for our State St. New Jersey location!

The Digital Imaging Operator I is responsible for producing variable and static digital printed pieces on the Xerox iGen, Autobond, UV lighting and Scodix Digital Press.

Schedule : 2nd shift, Sunday-Thursday, eight or more hours per day, five days per week based on business needs. Primary schedule will be 2 : 00 PM 10 : 00 AM, or similar.

Training may occur at other times. This is an on-site position requiring the employee to be present physically.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following :

• Login to batching system to view customer job assignments due dates and identify priorities
• Examine job orders to determine details such as : quantities to be printed, production run times, stock specifications, colors and color sequences
• Setup assigned apparatus to specifications and run product
• Inspect and examine printed products for : print clarity, color accuracy, conformance to specifications and external defects
• Troubleshoot apparatus problems, resolve if possible, notify Supervisor / Plant manager
• Maintain proper machine maintenance and lubrication
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
• Ensure all equipment, tools, and workstation are in good working order and is free of safety hazards
• Report any and all workplace hazards to management immediately
• Wear all assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required
• Report all work related injuries, illnesses, and / or near misses to management immediately
• Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations
• Maintain departmental housekeeping standards, such as keeping floors swept and absent of debris that may be a work hazard
• Provide thorough training to employees including but not limited to new hires, transfers, and newly promoted employees as needed
• Ensure completion of assignments by meeting quality / quantity specifications and requirements
• Complete and process all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
• Regularly perform general housekeeping duties in your work area(s)
• Adhere to all safety policies and protocols and maintain a safe working environment
• Attend all department / company meetings
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Xerox iGen Operator certified
• Proficient computer knowledge
• Effectively communicate orally and written with all members of the internal organization as well as external customers
• Ability to work flexible, extended hours and weekends as required
• Basic math skills, ability to perform mathematical functions of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
• Quality oriented
• Reading comprehension in relation to job ticket assignment and customer instructional specifications
• Detail-oriented and organized work ethic including efficient time management skills, with proven track record of completion of tasks / assignments
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment
