Position Summary : 4Rivers Equipment seeks a Communications Specialist to support the brand’s community initiatives. This role focuses on creating and maintaining a positive public image for the organization.

The 4Rivers brand is active in a wide variety of communities. The Communications Specialist position would work with our marketing team to support the organic communication strategies.

This position’s success relies heavily on strong attention to detail, clear communication, and a love of John Deere equipment!

A Day at 4Rivers Equipment :

Look At the Day Ahead

• Communicate status and organize projects with tools like Trello, Slack, and Google drive.
• Provide copywriting for blogs, YouTube, Podcasts, and any formal written communications.

Dig Into the Story

• Develops editorial calendar for the organization utilizing all channels of communication.
• Plans and orchestrates social media to support PR goals. Establish a strong voice and storyline.
• Establish a rhythm of attention to detail and grammar before delivering for final review.
• Innovate our storytelling and sharing review process by identifying efficiencies.

Community Is Our Culture

• Establishes a network of local and industry social media influencers and incorporates brand and product.
• Quickly learn product details and their aligned segments.
• Develops strong communication channels amongst members of the organization to stay close to the pulse of our communities.
• Engages local and industrial media weekly to support the editorial calendar.
• Elevate brand with dynamic and innovative energy to projects.
• Inspire our team with creative leadership.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of public relations principles and strategies.
• Excellent public speaking skills.
• Excellent written communication skills with a proven ability to write in a journalistic style customary for external publications.
• Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with media contacts and outlets.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Comfort in editing website content in WordPress
• Ability to create custom videos
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field required.
• 2 years in graphic design or ad agency
• Eye for photography & videography
• Writing and grammar skills are required.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned
