Job Description: 4Sight is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Clerk/Cashier to join our team in New York. As a Clerk/Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will contribute to a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases.
• Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately, including cash, credit, and debit payments.
• Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Answer customer inquiries and provide product information.
• Process returns and exchanges according to company policies.
• Bag or package purchases and assist customers with carry-outs if needed.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels at the checkout area.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient store operations.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security measures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail environment is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle cash and process transactions accurately.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move items up to 20 pounds.
• Dependability and punctuality.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
