Join our Oncology R&D team as a Scientist in Translational Pathology. This hands-on laboratory position offers the opportunity to provide scientific, technical, and administrative support for a wide range of TransPath projects. You will be working closely with our TransPath Gaithersburg scientific and pathology teams, Translational Medicine leads, project managers, and Computational Pathology Munich among others. This is your chance to take our leading Oncology pipeline to the next level!

Accountabilities:

As a Translational Scientist, you will be responsible for performing routine and non-routine histology procedures, tissue staining, slide digitization, data management, and compliance support for Good Clinical Practices and Human Biological Specimen. You will also be involved in sample procurement and management. Your role will require you to collaborate with laboratory subject matter experts to write or assist in writing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for laboratory functions, ensuring regulatory compliance.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s (B.S.) degree in biology, clinical laboratory science, medical technology or related discipline required, Masters preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in use of relevant computer programs (Microsoft Office, Excel and MS Project)

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • >1 year of full-time equivalent experience in clinical, translational research, medical technical role, or a pathology/histology laboratory preferred.
  • Familiarity with GxP/ICH regulatory requirements preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and documentation practices preferred
