508 Witt O'Brien's Payroll Management LLC is Hiring a Remote Payroll Manager

Payroll Manager The Payroll Manager will oversee and supervise the organization’s payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. Position Details Reports to: Controller Position Location: Remote Position Type: Full-Time FLSA Status: Exempt Pay: Salary Compensation: Commensurate with experience Travel: None Essential Job Functions Assist in the implementation of the company ERP system. Oversees the daily workflow of payroll staff and processes. Implements, maintains and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions. Manages the payroll function of processing timecards, compiling payroll statistics, maintaining payroll control records, recording hours of work, and calculating payrolls. Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates. Reviews and approves payroll deductions, interprets company policies and government regulations in connection with payroll procedures, and directs the preparation of government reports. Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage and hour laws, and best practices. Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures. May recruit, interview, hire, and train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action. Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field required. Eight years of related experience required. Proficient with Workday payroll processing (Required). Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Preferred Job Requirements Experience with One Source Virtual – OSV Ability to scale at a global level. ProLiant experience Experience outsourcing to payroll vendors such as ADP or the evaluation of vendors for outsourcing the function. Location near Miami Work Schedule 8 hours daily with potential for overtime as needed. Work Environment Work will be performed seated at a computer for prolonged periods.
