Are you a Wi-Fi QA Engineer with a passion for cutting-edge technology and a knack for collaboration?

5V Video is working in partnership with a global media and technology company, in Philadelphia. They are looking for a QA Engineer with experience working directly with Wi-Fi / RF in computer architecture and data communications.You will join their dynamic team, where innovation thrives and possibilities abound, forthe duration of the project length (1 year).

You will need to have a good understanding of wireless technology testing and experience working with various wireless protocols.

Skills Required:

• Technical experience in Wi-Fi/RF within computer architecture and data communications
• Hands-on experience testing wireless technologies such as APs, routers, extenders, and standards (802.11b/g/n/ac/ax)
• Knowledge of real-world wireless environments
• Proficiency with TCP/IP, UDP, IPv4/IPv6 addressing, Ethernet, DHCP, DNS, ICMP, ARP, NAT , bridging , and switching
• Familiarity with Wi-Fi test tools like Veriwave , IXIA Chariot , and packet debuggers such as Wireshark , Omnipeek , and Savius
• Understanding of secondary home networking technologies like Bluetooth , Zigbee , MoCA , and Ethernet in a DOCSIS environment
• Experience with RF chambers like Octoscope and Lindgren
• Proficiency in scripting languages
• Ability to work independently
• Strong background in designing or extending test frameworks
• Excellent debugging skills and experience troubleshooting
• Working knowledge of UNIX-based systems and command-line tools for analysis and automation
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of the full product development lifecycle, including functional and technical specifications, product use cases, user stories, implementation, QA processes, deployment, and maintenance
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment and confidently drive multiple projects across various teams
