6 Degrees Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to provide analysis and reporting of financials, ensuring compliance with the organizations regulations and GAAP guidelines.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Compile, analyze, and report financial information using US GAAP.
- Act as a liaison between external auditors and internal teams for annual audits and quarterly reviews.
- Conduct technical accounting research and oversee compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
- Review and report on the balance sheet to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing tasks.
- Participate in various projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of accounting theory, US GAAP, and SOX.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programs.
- Experience with a national accounting firm preferred.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance preferred.5 years of experience required.
- CPA preferred or in progress.
