Job Description:

We are seeking a hardworking and versatile individual to join our team as a Forklift Operator and General Laborer for our carbon black plant. This dual role is perfect for someone who is not only skilled at operating forklifts but also willing to take on a variety of labor tasks to support our production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Forklift Operation:

• Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to move, locate, relocate, and stack products within the plant.
• Load and unload materials from trucks or containers.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts to ensure proper functionality.
• Follow all safety regulations and company procedures when operating the forklift.

2. General Laborer Duties:

• Assist with the general operations of the carbon black plant, including the handling of raw materials, production processes, and packaging.
• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning tasks to ensure the plant remains in optimal condition.
• Support the production team in various tasks as needed, including machine operation assistance, quality control, and material preparation.
• Adhere to company safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Help in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be able to operate a forklift.
• Previous experience operating a forklift in an industrial or warehouse setting is preferred.
• Willingness to perform manual labor tasks and adaptability to shifting priorities.
• Basic mechanical skills and an understanding of safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.

Working Conditions:

• The role involves physical activities such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
• The work environment may involve exposure to noise and dust
• The position requires strict adherence to safety standards and protocols, including wearing PPE when necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
