From this job posting, we will fill the following Head Coaching positions for the 2024/25 school year at Hood River Valley High School. Job Purpose Statement: The job of “head coach” is a leadership role that involves leading and organizing the Hood River Valley High School coaching program. You will be responsible for establishing an equitable and inclusive environment for student-athletes to gain self-esteem and develop a positive self-image. Additionally, you will promote sportsmanship, a winning attitude, and commitment to the team, a winning attitude and commitment to student academic success.
Essential Job Functions:
Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required:
Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent. College Degree Preferred.
Experience: Previous experience coaching in preferred sport.
Licenses, Certifications, or Bonding: NFHS Coaches Certification or ASEP Certifications; First Aid/CPR Certification. Annual mandatory SafeSchools trainings.

The salary is based on 14% of the Licensed Salary Schedule, Column BA, Level A-H. Step placement is determined by the Human Resources Department and is based on verified years of prior paid coaching experience in the same sport, at the same responsibility level.
