6lock is pioneering the future of fund transfers. Wire fraud is real and costly to our Private Equity and Venture Capital firm clients. Our mission is to defeat this fraud with a secure payments platform that reduces anxiety and hassle associated with today's headaches around firms making capital calls and distributions to their limited partners.

We are a rapidly growing startup contributing to Austin’s innovative fintech scene and currently seeking a Software Developer to join our team. 

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining key components of the 6lock product platform. The ownership could span multiple components or parts of a component based on platform architecture. We are looking for developers with interest in cyber security, identity security, and payment automation.

As a software developer at 6lock, you will play a pivotal role on our engineering team, owning key parts of our core product, critical to delivering version 1.0 and beyond

Adaptability:  We are a startup in the 0-1 phase of building the business. This role requires a willingness to move fast, execute well and also be open to changing our plans based on the market feedback. Learning rapidly and moving quickly are extremely important

SaaS Software Development : Demonstrated ability and experience in building a Saas platform using a combination of internal and external saas services. A clear and firm understanding of micro services and services based architecture.

Consistency and Quality:  Produce high quality code that is tested, and closely follows the product backlog business goals. Do this consistently.

Technical Expertise: Utilize your strong background in AWS, Javascript, TypeScript, NextJS, and Postgres to make informed technical decisions and drive the success of version 1.0 of our product.

Recruitment : Collaborate with our management team to identify, interview, and hire talented developers who will contribute to the company’s success.

Security : Ensure the highest level of security standards are maintained throughout the project, addressing any vulnerabilities and implementing best practices.

API Integration: Manage the integration of money transfer and other APIs, ensuring efficient and secure transactions within our platform.

Team Collaboration : Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to achieve project goals.

Problem Solving : Troubleshoot technical issues, identify bottlenecks, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.

Documentation : Maintain thorough and organized documentation of project-related activities, including code, architecture, and security protocols.

Mentorship : Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth.

●  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

●  Proven experience (4 years) working with AWS (or Azure/GCP), Javascript, TypeScript, NextJS, and Postgres or similar SQL databases.

●  Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

●  Strong communication and leadership skills.
