7 Summits Construction, a Hartford-based full-service construction company, is currently in growth mode. We are seeking a full-time Construction Estimator with 5 years of experience interested in working closely with clients and leading projects to budget, schedule, and quality success.

Job Description:

The Construction Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for various construction projects. This role requires a thorough understanding of construction processes, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with project stakeholders. The Estimator will work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure that project bids are competitive and reflect the true scope of work.

***Salary range is dependent on applicants experience, qualifications & work history***

Duties:

  • Prepare accurate and timely estimates for projects
  • Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the overall cost
  • Collaborate with the construction team to develop competitive bids
  • Utilize software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid for estimating purposes
  • Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers for the best pricing
  • Monitor and track project costs throughout the construction process
  • Visit construction sites to assess progress and potential cost impacts

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years experience in Construction or similar field preferred
  • Experience using MS Office, Procore, Building Connected, Blue Beam, MS Project Planner and Primavera P6 preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction site operations
  • OSHA 10 HR or 30Hr Safety Certification Preferred
  • Ability to interpret build plans and contracts effectively
  • Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
