About the Job
This is an exciting opportunity for a Professional Civil Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a registered engineer with extensive design experience, proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D, and possess excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of professionals serving a diverse client base across West Virginia, Ohio, and beyond. This position is full-time and based at any of our four office locations.

General Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive civil engineering design tasks, including site layout, grading, utilities, engineering analysis, and preparation of design concepts, calculations, and specifications.
  • Conduct site investigations and prepare detailed reports and proposals.
  • Attend client and contractor meetings, contributing to project discussions and requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, interior designers, and surveyors as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Participate in team meetings, coordinating efforts with colleagues to ensure project success.
  • Develop discipline specifications under the guidance of Senior Engineers.
  • Mentor and collaborate with junior designers and engineers.
  • Review drawings for quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) purposes.
  • Coordinate project deliverables with other engineering disciplines.
  • Adhere to project budgets and schedules, ensuring timely and efficient project completion.
  • Prepare accurate, compliant drawings and specifications for schematic, design development, and construction document phases.
  • Perform construction cost estimates as required.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET Accredited Institution.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the state of West Virginia.
  • Experience in Land Development and site design preferred.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and design skills.
