Description:
As a registered Sonographer, you will provide ultrasound services, timely and efficiently, at appropriate levels to all patients and in all settings served by the department. You will also perform tasks and duties as outlined in the Imaging Services Department's Policy and Procedure Manual and will assist in assigned administrative tasks. You will be responsible for verifying patient and procedural information, preparing patients for exams, educating patients and family members, performing exams, processing films and communicating and transmitting reports to physicians, compiling and organizing data for radiologist, filing films, stocking, preparing and cleaning exam rooms, and may schedule patients for procedures and transport patients. You will maintain clinical competencies through participation in Hospital and Departmental educational and orientation programs.
