SUMMARY

The Business Process Reengineering Specialist will be responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to assess current operations and business processes through the examination of the organization's mission, strategic goals, and customer needs which begins at the strategic level and progresses down through the stakeholder organization. Facilitating Business Process Reengineering (BPR) efforts and engaging in stakeholder organizations to fully define the processes, business rules, and relationships that drive operations.

As a federal contractor, CNI is a drug-free workplace and adheres to the Federal Controlled Substance Act.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to pass a customer background check for access to facilities, equipment and property.

May be required to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship. 

May be required to obtain/retain a government background investigation commensurate with position requirements. 

Certification at the Information Assurance Technical (IAT) II level. These include CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security CE, CND, SSCP.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Provides facilitation, training, methodology development and evaluation for reengineering processes across all phases:

  • Execute activity and data modeling
  • Develop modern business methods
  • Identify best practices

Conducts discovery, document current state processes, and identify areas of significant opportunity.

Analyze current business processes and re-engineering with an understanding of technical problems and solutions as they relate to the current and future business environment.

Creates business process documentation (mapping, job-aids, etc.) to understand process steps, interdependencies, and applications used to complete transactions.

Applies process improvements and reengineering methodologies and principles to conduct process modernization projects.

Creates process change by integrating new processes with existing ones and communicating these changes to impacted Business Systems teams to ensure enterprise-wide integration of re-engineering efforts and application of best practice

Recommends and facilitates quality improvement efforts.

Assists with establishing consistent standards and practices.

Monitors process performance continuously, identifying deviations and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.

Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Computer Programming, or related field from an accredited educational institution and a minimum of two (2) years’ relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.

Preference given to DoD or Federal Government industry experience.

JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

Excellent communication (verbal, presentation, and written) and organizational skills.

Excellent skills developing approaches to meet client needs/demands while staying within project budget guidelines.

Excellent follow-up and time management skills. 

Strong customer service orientation and associated skills.

Ability to use discretion concerning highly sensitive and confidential data and information.

Ability to work effectively individually or in a team environment.

Experience with bulk petroleum or energy supply chain logistics is preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations such as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factor analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.
