JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a proven leader with extensive experience as a software implementation manager who can effectively use his/her communication, planning, and organizational skills to proactively manage new client software implementation projects and support daily client activity. This position requires expertise in driving implementation through completion as well as managing customer relationships, including setting expectations and identifying and managing client issues. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide leadership to a team of business analysts, project managers, quality assurance analysts, and training and documentation professionals.
• Implement web-based retail/wholesale planning software solutions to integrate or replace other existing software systems.
• Serve as an expert-level advisor in project definition. Work cross-functionally to anticipate and remove barriers to project success. Drive project issues through to resolution.
• Serve as a client-focused consulting professional able to analyze detailed customer issues. Communicate regularly with retailer and supplier clients.
• Travel to client sites, both domestic and abroad, to consult and work with clients to analyze existing computer systems and to understand current technology capabilities and retail planning processes.
• Serve as liaison between client and internal software development team by creating functional specifications through configuration and computer system mapping.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BS/BA in Business or related degree.
• This position is best suited for very tenacious, methodical, and mature process-oriented professionals.
• The ideal candidate will combine a strong personality with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• The candidate must be able to balance diplomacy with strong internal and external influencing skills.
• Additional attributes include being highly energetic, capable of working autonomously, thinking quickly "on your feet", as well as sell orientation.
• Business expertise in retail merchandise planning a must. Experience in retail management consultancy a plus.
• Experience with retail merchandise and assortment planning solutions and/or retail ERP systems.
