Position OverviewWe are looking for a self-motivated and driven individual with a seasoned background in agronomy or plant science. Specifically we are looking for a Nutrient Management Specialist with a deep understanding of recirculating water systems. They must demonstrate leadership skills to drive innovation and excellence in grow operations. Responsibilities & Duties
Apply subject expertise to help evaluating grow operations and processes within controlled environment agriculture settings
Monitor operational systems involved in the subject matter at designated farms to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
Identify opportunities where technical solutions would improve performance, productivity, and quality standards
Consult across operational areas to assess risks and benefits of potential solutions, providing strategic insights and recommendations
Verify technical reference information, including specifications and required training, to ensure compliance and accuracy
Educate and train operational grow team members, fostering skill development and knowledge transfer
Actively engage in subject matter research and development (R&D) and product development communities to stay abreast of advancements directly impacting grow operations and processes
Qualifications
Demonstrable credentials as a leading Subject Matter Expert with a track record of success
5 years of experience in a CEA environment
Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Plant Science or related field required. Masters preferred
Advanced knowledge of production growing operations
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively across business functionalities, both written and verbal, to convey complex concepts and recommendations
Proven ability to recommend and implement technical solutions for cross-functional projects, leveraging expertise and insights to drive innovation and improvement
Exceptional leadership and mentorship abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to inspire and develop talent within the team
