Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Optometrist to join our team ASAP. We have patients booked for exams and need an Optometrist to cover Mon, Tues, and Wed ASAP. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional eye care services to our patients and contribute to the overall success of our practice.
Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and eye health
- Diagnose and treat visual conditions such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism
- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids as needed
- Detect and manage eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for patient care as necessary
- Educate patients on proper eye care practices
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical record systems
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited school of optometry
- Valid state optometry license
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Experience with medical coding and optical systems preferred
- Familiarity with Epic or similar electronic health record systems is a plus
- Ability to work with senior care patients effectively
- Succession planning skills for long-term patient relationships
