Responsibilities

• Operates semi-automatic packaging equipment including sealing and labelling product according to product specifications and while ensuring accuracy in weights and codes
• Palletizes and stretch wraps finished product for storage or shipment
• Performs minor repairs, routine maintenance, and sanitation work on equipment
• Inspects and conducts regular deep cleaning of equipment
• Operates in accordance with health, safety and fire prevention regulations and practices
• Partner with company leadership to proactively identify and execute on continuous improvement opportunities in the areas of : safety, food safety, quality, productivity, and sanitation
• Other duties, as assigned

Education and Experience Required :

• Must be able to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills :

• High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
• Previous experience repairing mechanical equipment

Physical Requirements : Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation :

• Must be able to lift up-to 50 pounds
• Must be able to crouch, kneel, sit for up to 3 hours per shift
• Must be able to climb and down ladders for up to 3 hours per shift
• Must be able to work in a dusty environment up to 3 hour per shift
• Must be able to balance, bend, stoop and walk for up to 6 hours per shift
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours per shift
• Must be able to reach above shoulders for 8 hours per shift
• Must be able to work in high heat / humidity for to 8 hours per shift
