Position Summary As a Project Manager III, you will have a key role in assembling and managing project teams, overseeing project development, and driving project success through the application of project management methodology and tools. You will lead complex projects over their entire lifecycle, coordinating efforts across multiple teams, business units, and executive management to ensure an excellent business partner experience from a solutions, timing, and accuracy perspective. A Project Manager III will use their expert negotiation skills to resolve problems and facilitate the achievement of outcomes and mentor other project managers within the organization. Their day-to-day responsibilities will include defining project tasks and activities, developing comprehensive plans that account for potentially interdependent activities, and independently reviewing project status and progress. Key responsibilities also include planning, executing, and delivering key technology initiatives that are aligned with the strategic goals and priorities of the technology organization. Examples of projects include: Prioritizing and executing on AI taskforce and Innovation team initiatives. Initiatives to improve Tech interaction models, processes, and experiences. Consolidation and efficiency initiatives About The Team The Project Manager III will work closely with the CIO, the Technology Leadership team, impacted technical teams, and vendors to ensure the successful delivery of the technology initiatives. Our Enterprise Technology Operations (ETO) Project Management Team focuses on technology projects related to our enterprise infrastructure. You will get an opportunity to work on multiple large projects that span across infrastructure, network, systems, disaster recovery, and much more. You will get to work with Portfolio Managers, key business stakeholders, and skill resources to execute prioritized programs and projects to effectively implement key business strategies across the enterprise. Primary Responsibilities Lead complex projects and coordinates efforts across multiple teams and business units to achieve project objectives. Oversee project development and drive success using project management methodology and tools to ensure an excellent business partner experience. Define project tasks, activities, and comprehensive plans with interdependent activities, timelines, and assumptions. Review project status and progress independently. Use expert negotiation skills to resolve problems and facilitate outcomes. Mentor other project managers within the organization. Primary Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related discipline, or equivalent technical and business experience. 6-10 years of experience handling complex, multi-dimensional technical projects, with skills in project planning, delivery coordination, and risk management. Proven track record of successful project deliveries, demonstrating expertise in project management and facilitation. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with creativity and latitude in problem-solving and decision-making. Ability to work collaboratively with teams across different departments, while managing competing priorities and meeting tight deadlines. Demonstrated initiative in coordinating activities across multiple teams and leading project teams towards successful outcomes. Proven experience in mentoring other project managers and team members. Advanced proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project and/or JIRA. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to interact with a diverse group of team members, including executives, managers, technology professionals, and subject matter experts. Experience in both Plan Driven and Agile Methodologies (including Scrum and Kanban). Active Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification, demonstrating expertise in project management methodologies. Proficient in information management and adept at using a wide range of project management tools, such as JIRA, Trello, Asana, and Smartsheet. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Zoom, Teams, and other productivity tools, with a focus on maximizing efficiency and effectiveness. Additional certifications in agile, risk management, or program management, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement. Desired Skills Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, while meeting tight deadlines. A demonstrated history of delivering complex technology projects, from conception to deployment, while ensuring high quality and adherence to budget and schedule. Strong team-management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives. Meticulous attention to detail, even in high-pressure situations, with the ability to anticipate potential issues and proactively mitigate risks. Deep domain knowledge in a specific area of business/technical process, such as finance, healthcare, or software development.
