This person will be responsible for assisting the Payroll Manager with weekly processing and auditing of company payrolls. Essential Functions Enters, maintains, and/or processes information in the payroll system; information may include employees’ hourly rates, salaries, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information. Ensures proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, charitable contributions, and other deductions. Conduct in depth audits to ensure payroll accuracy. Issues, or reissues pay checks due to payroll errors or final discharge. Records and processes federal and state payroll tax deposits. Minimum Job Requirements Minimum Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Three years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping with at least one year of experience in payroll preferred. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrates proficiency in MS Office software, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Demonstrates critical thinking skills. Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and complete complex tasks. Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality. Ability to work closely and professionally with others at all levels of the organization. Effective organizational and time management skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
