Position Summary908 Devices is seeking an intern to support its lean but busy legal department from June through August 2024. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on, practical legal experience in a fast-paced company serving both life sciences and forensics markets. Prior experience and/or demonstrated interest in commercial legal matters and corporate governance would be helpful but is not required.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist legal department in development and updating of form contracts for various commercial matters.
- Conduct legal research into various topics, as needed, including but not limited to employment law, securities law, data privacy, intellectual property, and commercial legal issues.
- Provide support for a range of corporate governance and general compliance matters.
- Analyze and draft various legal documents, as needed, including review of government and commercial contracts, NDAs, and licenses.
- Assist in contract management, including but not limited to summarizing and tracking key contract dates and terms.
- Currently enrolled in law school, having completed at least 1L year.
- Prior experience and/or demonstrated interest in commercial legal matters and corporate governance is preferred, but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
- Superior attention to detail.
- Flexibility and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Openness to learn and to work across multiple areas of law (e.g., employment, contracts, intellectual property, corporate governance).
- This position is full-time, 40-hours per week, June – August 2024 (estimated).
- This position can be fully onsite or hybrid in our Boston, MA HQ (minimum of three days per week onsite preferred).
- Compensation will be $20 - $25 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- This position will report to the Senior Corporate Counsel
