Position Summary:

The Operations Case Coordinator (OCC) is a critical position and is responsible for providing qualified medical perspective, conduct client case medical reviews, and providing recommended COAs to support best possible client outcome in conjunction with Recovery Care Coordinators, Primary Care Managers, Primary Care Managers, medical care providers, and Operations staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned)

• Provide expertise in navigating the military medical system (DoD, VA, and TRICARE)
• Provide professional assistance to the RCCs to identify client’s needs for referrals to appropriate health care providers or facilities.
• Maintain documentation as required by Section SOPs, program mandates, USSOCOM Directives, and other applicable regulations, manuals, or instructions.
• Effectively prioritize and utilize time management skills to meet all mandated milestone markers as defined in applicable program SOPs, regulations, manuals, or instructions.
• Perform general office and administrative support functions.

• BS (Nursing) preferred
• 3 years or more of demonstrated nursing experience
• Related experience in working with military personnel and people with disabilities
• Government contract may require person to possess proof of U.S. citizenship
• Military experience (senior-level SOF or Medical NCO) and familiarity with DoD and VA medical systems is highly preferred
• Case management experience preferred

Knowledge:

• Working knowledge of patient education principles, management of complex medical, psychosocial, and financial problems that enhanced patient adherence to individualized treatment plans
• Demonstrated knowledge of TBI protocol
• Extensive knowledge and experience with service members and/or case management experience preferred
• Clear understanding of HIPAA and adhere to patient confidentiality standards prescribed by the medical treatment facility providing care for the WII service member
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Able to work in an ambiguous environment and prioritize/meet deadlines
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision
• Articulate in both verbal and written communication to effectively express concepts, plans, and proposals

Clearance:

Secret Clearance required. Candidates may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information upon hire.
