The Event Manager will manage project-based summer programs under the supervision of the 9Rooftops Experiential Team. This position is responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of client programs with a focus on the management of event logistics, execution, and results. The Event Manager will also act as the face of the brand while at on-site events and engage, educate, and sample members of the bar trade.

Essential Job Duties and Skills:

• Assist in the planning and managing daily aspects of client’s on-site events, tours, and programs.
• Assist in the set-up and breakdown of the footprint or event space.
• Ensure that all on-site operations are managed safely and efficiently, providing guests with a positive experience.
• Creatively look for cost-effective solutions.
• Knowledge of municipality rules and permitting for activations within the locale.
• Manage projects while keeping within budget and/or other constraints and in compliance with 9Rooftops and client policies.
• Provide hands-on assistance and onsite management for programs as needed. Ensure excellent customer service and quality delivery during events.
• Be proactive and troubleshoot when issues arise, exercising discretion and independent judgment when making decisions.
• Manage and direct additional staff as needed.
• Manage and organize inventory and warehouse unit.
• Manage and reconcile all spending and expenses.
• Track results, analyze event success and assist in preparing client recaps.
• Regular, reliable attendance, and strict punctuality are required.

Other Job Requirements:

• Prefer bachelor's degree in marketing or related field preferred with 3 years of relevant experience
• 4-6 years of experience managing events and an interest in event production.
• Previous experience managing budgets and supporting the budgeting process.
• Knowledge of KPIs and marketing techniques for event management.
• Familiarity with the nightlife and bartending scene.
• Ability to work nights and weekends
• Must possess a valid, unrestricted driver’s license while employed with 9Rooftops.
• Experience driving cargo vans and passenger vehicles preferred
• Able to lift, move and carry 50 lbs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well in high pressure environments
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt and adjust to program shifts, policy and procedural changes as required and communicated by the agency
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
