Job Brief:

The Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Foreman is a vital link between A&A management, project/contractor management and the crews performing the work. Responsibilities of the Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Foreman include monitoring the performance and success of both projects and employees with an emphasis on safety and overseeing the successful completion of phase work on many different projects.

The Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Foreman has a key role in the success of the Company by ensuring the timely and profitable completion of highway projects, as well as verifying the crews follow all applicable safety standards.

Key areas of responsibility:

• Supervision of crews responsible for highway/city projects performing the Maintenance of Traffic, working alongside and with various other A&A Safety crews such as line striping, reflective lens installation, sign install and removal of pavement markings.
• Using a bucket truck for differing types of sign work.
• Coordination of work schedules, personnel, equipment, and material needs related to each project assigned to the individual.
• Communication with management, employees, and customers.
• Resolution of internal and external problems and conflicts that are roadblocks to the Company’s success.
• Completion of paperwork to assure timely payment for the various items of work performed.
• Working with Project Managers to make sure costs for multiple projects to stay within budget.
• Work closely with the Safety Manager to maintain safety standards.

Desired skills and Experience:

• 2-5 years construction experience
• Ability to set traffic zones, including highway lane closures, signal and flagging zones
• WTS Certified (preferred) will offer training to attain
• Ability to read construction/traffic control plans
• Ability to prioritize information and make decisions under tight deadlines
• Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• OSHA 30 preferred
