A&A Search Staffing is Hiring a Construction Site Supervisor Near , MA

Key Responsibilities

  • Site Supervision and Leadership: Oversee and manage all on-site activities for designated construction projects, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications. Oversee the over-all site logistics plan and coordinate all site related issues with the PM or Development team. Ensure safety is a focus for all personnel on the site.
  • Provide guidance and direction to superintendents working on the assigned projects and/or building areas, fostering a culture of professionalism, respect, accountability, promoting teamwork and mutual support. Provide informal mentorship to superintendents to ensure their professional growth and effectiveness in overseeing construction projects. Ensure on-site labor is utilized in the most effective possible manner, site cleanliness and quality standards are maintained. Cultivate an environment of professionalism, respect, timeliness, and accountability among the project team.
  • Collaboration with Senior Project Management and Ownership: Partner closely with Senior Project Managers and project ownership to align project objectives and ensure successful execution. Participate in regular project reviews with the Project Management team to assess progress and address any emerging issues.
  • Project Execution: Take charge of the entire field portion of the project lifecycle, from commencement through the punch list phase, ensuring the timely and successful completion of each project. Collaborate with subcontractor team to ensure they are providing adequate and timely resources to ensure completion of each scope of work as required. Ensure that no work is performed that adds cost to the project without the awareness and approval of the Senior Project Manager.
  • Safety Management: Oversee the implementation of safety protocols and procedures on the construction site and conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Documentation: Ensure production of accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily reports, observations, RFI’s and as-built drawings and ensure compliance with all contractual requirements and record any deviations.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Guarantee customer satisfaction by maintaining a safe, clean, organized job site and managing an efficient project turnover process.
  • Schedule Management: Maintain and communicate overall project schedules, producing 3 week look-ahead schedules to ensure project milestones are met. Assume a central role in maintaining and managing the overall project schedule, ensuring it aligns with project objectives and organizational goals. Work with assigned superintendents to develop and communicate detailed 3-week look-ahead schedules. Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment between the look-ahead schedules and the master project schedules.
  • Quality Management: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that work meets or exceeds established standards and conduct regular inspections to verify compliance with project specifications.
  • Site Inspections: Perform daily site inspections to monitor progress and ensure work is being executed according to plans and specifications. Identify potential issues and proactively address them to prevent delays or cost overruns.
  • Subcontractor Coordination: Effectively coordinate subcontractor trades, manage and minimize self-perform labor, and labor force to meet project requirements.
  • Material Procurement: Upon delivery to site, work with the warehousing team to track material warehousing and delivery to site to ensure schedule goals are achieved, taking proactive measures to address any issues that may arise.
  • Constructability Evaluation: Evaluate project constructability and provide input to Project Managers for project schedules, labor forecasts material procurement and construction detail feasibility.
  • Project Reporting: Provide input to required project reports and keep Project Manager informed of all project developments.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 15 years of commercial construction experience
  • Safety Training: Formal safety training, including OSHA 30 in the construction industry including a working knowledge of excavation, crane operations, steel erection and general site safety requirements.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels in a construction environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Project and Excel. A working knowledge of Procore is a bonus.
  • Industry Knowledge: Commercial General Contractor experience
  • Adaptability: Proactive and adaptable to changing conditions or demands, capable of working well under pressure and with tight deadlines.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Thorough understanding of local, state, federal (including OSHA), and company safety and environmental regulations, codes, and requirements.

  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
  • Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred. Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
