The Safety Coordinator relentlessly supports and educates A-C Electric Company’s safety program resulting in an accident-free workplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Is passionate about a safe workplace
• Educates personnel on safety programs with enthusiasm
• Builds strong relationships with operations project personnel
• Consistently executes root cause analysis
• Ensure A-C Electric Company complies with general contractor and owner safety requirements

Additional Job Duties

• Support Crew Foreman/General Foremen in the development of Job Hazard Analyses
• Evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs through daily field walks.
• Regulatory compliance and audit oversight
• Provide coaching and mentoring for employees exhibiting unsafe behaviors and provide recognition for employees exhibiting safe behaviors
• Develop and deliver safety training and new employee orientations
• Perform and support incident investigations
• Provide regular feedback to the project team on safety areas for improvement and recognition
• Assist in developing corrective action plans to address safety issues in the field.
• Benchmark with general contractor and other subcontractors Safety Professionals on safety-related issues

Experience Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Safety or;
• 1-year experience in Safety Construction or;
• Firm understanding of construction safety standards and regulations (Cal/OSHA, Fed/OSHA, EM385)
• Familiarity with computers and MS Office is needed
• Ability to work independently and excellent project management, interpersonal, and communication skills are needed

Pay Range: $20.00 per hour to $50.00 per hour. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
