Job Description

Job Description

A-C-T is currently seeking a Project Manager to join our team. The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring projects are initiated, planned, executed, and completed successfully on time and on budget. They will manage and control multiple small projects, which fall under a general portfolio of services (environmental compliance, environmental emergency response, environmental assessment, environmental remediation, and industrial service). They are responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, executive, control, and completion of the project while remaining aligned with the strategy, commitments, and goals of the organization.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage projects throughout their lifecycle, including managing schedules, internal and external stakeholder coordination, resource allocation, change control, cost control, invoicing preparation, and project closure and assessment.
  • Plan and implement projects, defining scope and deliverables, defining tasks and requirements to complete the job, managing the project budget, allocating project resources, creating the project schedule tracking deliverables, managing, and implementing change when necessary, monitoring and reporting project status, and ensuring top-quality results and success for a project.
  • Work closely with the executive team and corporate directors and project team members to establish project needs, deadlines, and budgets.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be required, based on project needs.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Exhibit strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project and Excel for project planning.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Teams for scheduling resources
  • Ability to learn new software such as Deltek for time keeping and project accounting.
  • Proficient in standard office software programs: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Standard.
  • Coordinate workflow and prioritize tasks.
  • Comfortably interact with individuals of all professional levels and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Present a professional appearance, attitude, and demeanor.
  • Preserve confidentiality of sensitive information

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • 10 years of progressively responsible Project Management experience.
  • B.S. or M.S. degree in related discipline.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required
  • Experience in one or more of the following is preferred: environmental compliance, environmental emergency response, environmental assessment, environmental remediation, and industrial service.
  • Experience using project management and project accounting software.
  • Experience managing internal stakeholders in a matrix model organization.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • May require the ability to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk, and manipulate (carry, lift, move) light to medium weights of 10-30 pounds.
  • Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate technical equipment, read technical information and to analyze complex data.
