A E is Hiring a CNC Set-Up Operator (2nd Shift) Near Racine, WI

A&E Incorporated is searching for an experienced CNC Set-Up Operator (2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday, 2:30pm-12:30am). Successful candidates are primarily responsible for setting up and operating the CNC Mills (Mazak), including editing programs. Secondary machining operations and additional work on CNC Lathes may also be required.

HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL DO

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up (editing programs) and operate multiple CNC vertical mills with bar feeders
  • Select, adjust and change tooling per requirements in work order packets, blueprints and drawings
  • Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run parts and sample pieces
  • Inspect and measure finished products to meet quality assurance requirements
  • Perform basic care and maintenance of machines and tooling, and maintain a clean and organized work area

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

KEY REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE and EDUCATION

  • Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with CNC Mills
  • Experience with Mazak machines is preferred; other experience with Haas, Mori Seiki, Tsugami, Miyano or Swiss machines is helpful
  • Knowledge of machining processes, tolerances and tooling and ability to read/interpret blueprints and drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and shop math skills with demonstrated capability of using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers and gauges
  • Understanding of OSHA rules and regulations (i.e. lockout/tagout, machine guarding)
  • Effective communication skills: must be able read and write clearly and concisely in English and understand/follow written work instructions and company procedures.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be capable of lifting/moving up to 40 pounds periodically throughout the shift and standing/walking/bending/squatting regularly throughout the workday.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; CNC certificate/training preferred
