Lending Operations Analyst I

This position aims to assist the Credit Union in its mission to become the members' financial partner and help fulfill their lifelong dreams. The role involves providing exceptional service to internal members and supporting the operational success of the Lending Division through project assistance, reporting, metrics, and various systems and administrative functions. It requires maintaining a thorough understanding of all services and operations within the Credit Union.

Primary Functions

• Coordinate internal and external loan marketing campaigns in collaboration with Marketing department that aligned with loan origination budget goals, assist with developing new loan promotions, campaign messaging, and timelines for emails, outbound calls, and other marketing touch points.
• Provide support for ongoing lending taskforces (ex. Financial Inclusion, Fraud Taskforce)
• Provide a variety of support for ongoing lending projects and efficiency initiatives including research and testing.
• Perform diverse administrative support functions including scheduling and preparing for meetings, taking meeting minutes, researching, and reconciling invoices.
• Proactively work towards advanced knowledge of lending products, policies/procedures, and guidelines, as well as lending principles including credit scores, ability to repay, and underwriting ratios to support organizational perspective relative to job duties.
• Perform other credit union functions and responsibilities as required or assigned.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, or other quantitative field required
• One year of financial institution experience required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Working knowledge of MS Office, including Excel (including ability to create complex spreadsheets linked to external data sources, Pivot Tables, complex functions) , Word (including ability to write concise executive memos summarizing complex material into understandable concepts), PowerPoint (including ability to put together presentations for departmental meetings), Access (including ability to build “data warehouse” structure to manage numerous data sources, query between data sources, and create data exports for linking to Excel).
• Knowledge of Symitar (including advanced query and reporting functions) required.
• Ability to communicate at a highly professional level both verbally and in writing to (team) members.
• High level attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to adapt to change.
• Working knowledge of A FCU loan products, services, policies and procedures.
