A New Leaf is Hiring a Shelter advocate Near Apache Junction, AZ

  • Role model appropriate behaviors to callers and clients in the shelter, at all times, utilizing trauma informed principles and practices.
  • Provide crisis intervention, domestic violence information, and resources and referral services to callers / clients at the shelter.
  • Perform intake screenings, lethality assessments, and basic needs assessments for potential clients (as relevant to program / client needs).
  • Provide supportive services to clients in shelter and assist case managers with client needs.
  • Establish / maintain client files and documentation; including, requesting paperwork, and filing all documentation in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner.
  • Completeaccurate documentation in database and all program paperwork in a timely, correct, and thorough manner.
  • Be responsible for issues relating to admission and discharge, in conjunction with the programs definition and policies as relevant to program / client needs.
  • Access community resources to support the coordination of services for clients.
  • Participate in required client care supervision on a regular basis as required by A New Leaf policy.
  • Facilitate monthly groups as required by the program.

Compliance :

  • Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation
  • Current Auto Liability Insurance
  • Clean 39 Month Motor Vehicle Record
  • Must be at least 21-years of age
  • Must be able to obtain Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card immediately upon hire (if there are any uncertainties whether an applicant may have to go through an appeal process;

they are encouraged to complete that process prior to applying as an invalid card will result in termination of employment)
