Title: Human Resource Specialist

Location: Hybrid (2-3 days a week must report to worksite) Washington DC or Springfield, VA

*Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Human Resource Specialist to provide essential support in processing, administration, and logistical tasks associated with our company’s Awards and Recognition Program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR practices, excellent organizational skills, and a proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

*Duties:

*

  • Assist in the administration and processing of the Awards and Recognition Program.
  • Provide logistical support for awards events, including venue coordination, guest management, and on-site arrangements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to award nominations, selections, and distributions.
  • Collaborate with HR team members to ensure seamless communication and efficient handling of program procedures.
  • Handle inquiries and provide detailed information about the program to employees and managers.
  • Prepare and distribute communication materials related to the awards program.
  • Ensure compliance with Agency policies and regulatory standards in the administration of the awards program.

Assist with the development and implementation of program improvements to enhance recognition initiatives.

*Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources , Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources, with specific experience in recognition programs or similar initiatives.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.

Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
