Job # 40028: Warm & Proactive Full-Time Family Assistant Needed in Dallas (Lakeland Dr & Garland Rd)

Message from Family: We are searching for a warm and caring family assistant to join our lively and loving family. With three energetic boys who are 11, 9, and 4 years old and one dog who is very sweet, our home is filled with joy and activity. In addition to nurturing our children, we seek a family assistant that is skilled in household management to assist with organization, light housekeeping, laundry, and healthy meal preparation. Your role will also include school pickups/drop-offs, sports activities, homework help, and running occasional errands. We have a housekeeper who comes three times a week. About the Children: Our oldest is a strong, independent 11 year old! He loves sports (plays soccer, football, basketball and lacrosse) and is curious about the world. He is in 5th grade and is loving every moment of it! He loves to sing and just recently tried out for his school choir starting in the fall.

Our middle child is a sweet, sensitive boy who also love sports (basketball is his favorite, but loves soccer and flag football as well). He has a love for nature and fishing is a favorite hobby. He is naturally curious and a very bright boy. He is currently in 2nd grade.

Our youngest is the wonderful caboose of our family! He is a sweet, go with the flow boy who loves his big brothers. He can't wait to start playing sports and will be going to Pre-K 4 in the fall. He lives life to the fullest and says the cutest, funniest things at this age!

Their Ideal Family Assistant: Our ideal candidate is warm, caring, loving and intuitive when it comes to child care. In terms of house management we require a candidate that is intelligent, proactive, very efficient and is a go-getter. Ideally the person we hire is somewhat of a "neat freak", thrives with organization, and creates structure and order in the household. Overall someone who is excited to be the "captain" of our family as our Family Assistant and "gets it". Because there are a lot of moving parts within our home we need someone that can keep up and will keep everyone in line. We will prioritize candidates that have experience with older children and are experienced with the Positive Discipline approach. We only have a few simple requirements to apply for our position; the ideal Family Assistant must have a clean driving record and have at least 5 years of experience working in a Family Assistant or House Manager role.

Additional Job Details: This is a hyrbid role that involves both childcare and household management skills. Our boys will all be in school full-time starting in the fall, so there will be plenty of time for household management activities in the morning / early afternoon prior to pick up. The boys are at three different schools, so a safe car and clean driving record are a must because there will be school pickups as well as drop offs to various extracurricular activities and sports activities. During the school year school pickup starts at 2:45pm. The ability to help with homework is essential. A passion for cooking is a plus- you will meal prep, or cook each night - depending on what works best. We are looking for healthy meals using wholesome ingredients and we can find, share and plan recipes together. Involving the kids in the weekly dinner planning is a great way to ensure everyone gets something they want. You will also be in charge of grocery shopping for the family. Your house management skills will come in handy with keeping the family schedule up to date, organizing the family calendar, organizational projects, and running occasional errands.

Summer Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 6:30am
**50 hours/week guaranteed

School Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10:30am- 6:30pm
**40 hours/week guaranteed

Compensation: $30-$31 per hour
