OverviewThe Graphic Designer, Girls, in partnership with the cross functional team (Merchandising, Production, Design, etc.) drives the design and execution of innovative graphics for a total classification. The Graphic Designer will proactively seek opportunities to ensure trend right, relevant product and achieve the financial goals of the category while supporting the brand. As a leader within the Design department, the Graphic Designer supports and participates in all applicable company wide initiatives. This role will be responsible for designing Girl’s Graphics for Tees and Light Weight Knit categories. Responsibilities
Proactively seek out opportunities to maximize the business.
Support and participate in all relevant company wide initiatives as they arise. Lead team in adjusting to changing priorities.
Lead the creative exploration of all apparel graphics, new techniques and materials
Design innovative apparel graphics that are aligned with overall seasonal design direction
Develop new typographic and layout solutions
Partner with Design to create cohesive collections by season
Use trend intelligence and an understanding of the current and historical business to design and execute specific classifications.
Develop strong working relationships with cross functional team members (Merchandising, Production and Design) through communication and problem solving.
Mentor, train & develop Graphic Designer/Associate/Assistant Designer. Delegate tasks, monitor progress, and provide feedback.
Manage deadlines in accordance with the corporate calendar.
Adapt all approved layouts to various formats
Prepare inspiration/trend boards using creative methods
Prepare program “look” boards
Maintain project libraries; compile all reference material together with program files
Qualifications
BA Degree with Graphic Design major
3-6 years graphic apparel design experience required
Ability to innovate and think creatively with Aero brand aesthetic
Strong sketching skills
Proven understanding of the youth market and Aero customer
Ability to multi-task and shift priorities
Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and presentation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Photoshop, & Illustrator
Travel may be required, based on business needs.
Adhere to regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration. Job duties may be performed effectively using the hybrid work program designated by the company.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor as the company retains the right to change duties to this position.
Must have authorization to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours per day

Requirements & EEO StatementThe salary range for this position is $80,000 to $95,000 annually Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to position offered and work experience.
