Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:

A - Service Management Systems, Inc is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team in the Federal Way, WA area. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all facilities located throughout a designated area of territory, as well as assisting in the coordination of all facilities repairs and upkeep. The ideal candidate will have a background in maintenance, carpentry, HVAC or other related fields and possess a basic understanding of carpentry and drywall. The ideal candidate will also possess a working knowledge of electrical, plumbing and carpentry as well as a working knowledge of computerized equipment including but not limited to computers, printers, etc.

Essential Functions:
Perform routine maintenance on all facilities within assigned area of territory, including plumbing, HVAC, carpets, drywall, electrical and light electrical.

• Perform repairs to doors, windows, furniture, appliances and other equipment as needed.
• Install new appliances and fixtures when required.
• Clean and maintain common areas such as lobbies and stairwells.
• Maintain exterior areas including painting and window washing.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required. A pre-employment drug screen along with a background check are required before employment begins.

• 3 years of verifiable experience in similar position preferred. A pre-employment drug test along with a background check are required before employment begins.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
