A UP is looking to hire a successful teacher's assistant (Assistant Learning Coach or ALC) to teach students in grades 6-8. An Associate's Degree or better from an accredited university is required. The critical thinking assessment listed on the job description is required. Candidates who do not submit the assessment within 24 hours of their application will not be considered for employment.

Our model requires educators to be proficient at ensuring learning and providing individualized academic feedback and character guidance.
PURPOSE AND EXPLANATION OF ROLE
The Assistant Learning Coach (ALC) serves as part of the professional faculty of A UP. An ALC works with the team to drive academic and cultural performance and growth for A UP Scholars.
This position will appeal to those rare and talented people who feel a call to work collaboratively with families, faculty, and scholars of A UP. An ALC will deliver instruction, assess learning, and provide feedback and coaching to A UP scholars. This is a salaried position and the terms will vary.
SPECIAL FUNDING
This Assistant Learning Coach (ALC) position is funded using Title I Funding from 84.010 – Title I Grants to Local Educational Agencies – ESSER III Fund Code 282. A UP operates as school-wide Title I school. This position exists to help all A UP students meet school learning goals.
