Position Summary

As a member of the team, the CHHA will work to provide personal care and meet the needs of the patient and their family. You will help maintain their maximum level of comfort and coping, flex your schedule to meet agency-staffing needs.

The hospice aide provides personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing linens. The hospice aide reports to the RN case manager or clinical director on patient's condition and significant changes. The hospice aide is responsible for observing patient, reporting observations, and documenting observations and care performed.

• CHHA/CNA required
• Must have satisfactory references
• Must understand the hospice philosophy/be comfortable with death and dying
• Must be a licensed driver with a reliable vehicle
• Must be self directing with ability to work with little direct supervision
• CPR Certification
