Job Description Summary The Sourcing Major Component Upgrade (MCU) and Installation Leader will strategically develop and manage a global supply chain of Onshore Wind services to geographically diverse locations, while driving commercial advantage through achievement of quality, cost, usage and delivery goals. This Leader will manage a global team to contract, plan and purchase equipment and labor volume across Wind, while reducing costs and meeting safety, quality and delivery requirements from the supply base. Job Description Essential Responsibilities: Drive cost out projects and negotiations with suppliers and cross functional teams targeted at achieving annual MCU and Installation budgets Manage supplier contracts, supply agreements and terms and conditions with preferred suppliers to ensure that market trends, supplier performance, and future business needs are aligned Develop and execute long term global commodity strategies for a diverse group of suppliers, with varying levels of complexity Collaborate with global supporting resources (engineering, product line, quality, supply chain, and regional teams) to achieve schedule and maximize utilization of purchased services Lead the evaluation and selection of new suppliers and technology, development of existing suppliers, and overall supplier management Define and drive use of preferred suppliers plus develop alternate sources to reduce schedule constraints and cost Interact with site teams to understand business needs and develop supply chain strategies that optimize total requirements Develop technical and market expertise in cranes and labor Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university Minimum 5 years of cranes and/or labor sourcing Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as required, estimated at 30% Desired Characteristics: Demonstrated negotiation skills, contracting expertise, and business law knowledge Ability to perform scenario analysis and strategy development High motivation, leadership, and influencing skills Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills Proactive self-starter and change agent Cross functional, matrixed, and international team experience Strong written and verbal communication skills Effectively communicate across all organizational levels, departments, and functions Have proven project management and process improvement skills Aptitude with analytical tools (ex. Excel, Access); specific skills should include: data-mining, pivot tables, data manipulation Demonstrated technical aptitude and business acumen The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $208,300 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this role has variable compensation incentive of 10%.
