Job Description Summary The lead engineer for hypervisor technologies will be responsible for working with the NPI network and platform development teams to evaluate, develop, and sustain the deployment strategy for GE Vernova’s next generation Control Server solution. This role will work with technical leaders, system architects, and principal engineers supporting next generation developments in critical customer infrastructure in the virtualization, networking, and cyber security initiatives. Engagement will span product offering developments for new units and the aftermarket. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Collaborate with Technical Leaders, System Architects, and Principal Engineers to develop test plans around new hypervisor solutions to meet performance and stability requirements. Execute test plans that may include detailed performance studies for new hardware and software releases and create reports for reviews with the Controlled Title Holder community. Design and develop deployment strategies for hypervisor-based solutions that minimize engineering and manufacturing touch time. Serve as a member in the Scaled Agile Framework defining the handoff scope in terms of features, stories, and tasks meeting milestone dates as laid out by the product owner to meet product testing requirements. Coordinate with the NPI to Fulfillment handoff team to create training materials for domestic and global fulfillment teams on new product developments. Manage the lifecycle of hypervisor-based product offerings for GE Vernova’s Control Server 2.0 product. Manage multiple product validations/testing concurrently. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a “STEM” major (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) from an accredited college or university or a High School Diploma/ GED with 8 years of experience with hypervisor technology and networking technology Minimum of 4 years of experience working with and deploying solutions utilizing hypervisor technologies with experience in hardware and software selection Minimum of 4 years of experience in networking technology Desired Characteristics Knowledge of VMWare ESXi Hypervisor, KVM Hypervsor, Proficy Cimplicity, Networking, and Cyber Security principles Knowledge of the Gas Power Controls NPI processes Ability to influence others and create a cohesive group Strong oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Ability to succeed in a global team environment Highly-motivated, energetic, confident, self-starting personal characteristics For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $98,400.00 - 164,000.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This Lead Professional Band position is also eligible for a10% performance bonus. *The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
